Dennis Byrd, previous New York Jets player, dies in car crash

Dennis Byrd, a previous New York Jets player, passed on Saturday in a car wreck outside Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The driver, who was conceded in stable condition, sustained injuries to his head, trunk, arm, and leg. A 12-year-old traveler riding in the Ford Explorer additionally sustained comparative injuries, powers said.

As news spread of Byrd’s demise late Saturday, NFL players, group executives and other people who knew Byrd communicated their sympathies regarding his legacy

Johnson said in an announcement that Byrd, whose pullover had been resigned in 2012, would “never be overlooked” given the lives he touched.

In a tweet Saturday night, previous New York Jets lineman Kevin Mawae depicted Byrd as “an inspiration to numerous” given his capacity to skip again from his on-field injuries.

“Dennis exemplified genuine determination, enormous heart, and modesty for the duration of his life,” Dr. Derrick Gragg, VP and executive of games at the University of Tulsa, Byrd’s institute of matriculation, told CNN partner KTUL. “…He conquered incredible individual affliction after an existence altering injury on the football field. We realize that Dennis touched various lives and will be remembered fondly by numerous.”

According to the Jets association, Byrd was living in his home condition of Oklahoma where he filled in as both a minister and open speaker. He is made due by his significant other, Angela, and his four youngsters.
